Game 6 Breakdown: Thunder One Win Away, Pacers Hanging by a Thread

The Oklahoma City Thunder are just one win away from their first NBA title in franchise history. Up 3-2 in the series, they head into Game 6 on Thursday night in Indianapolis locked in and laser-focused. Coach Mark Daigneault isn’t overthinking it. No new game plans, no overreactions, just a “0-0 mindset” and sticking to the habits that got them here.

Meanwhile, Indiana’s in scramble mode. Tyrese Haliburton is banged up again first an ankle tweak, now a calf strain and his availability won’t be known until hours before tip-off. He’s clearly not himself, putting up just 22 points combined over the last two games on brutal shooting splits (7-for-21 FG, 1-for-11 from deep).

That’s a huge blow to the Pacers’ hopes of forcing a Game 7. They pulled this off last year vs the Knicks, but this OKC team isn’t New York. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and Jalen Williams are averaging over 30 each across the last three games, with Williams dropping a 40-piece in Game 5 while the Pacers tried everything to get the ball out of SGA’s hands.

Pascal Siakam and the Pacers’ bench will need to go nuclear again to stay alive. But let’s be real OKC looks locked in. They’ve already shown they can bounce back from mistakes, as they did in the last round against Denver after a Game 6 slip-up. They’re battle-tested, they’re deep, and they’re playing with purpose.

Daigneault’s got this squad believing in the process. No flash, no distractions, just execution. As bettors, we’re looking at momentum, matchups, and mindset and right now OKC checks all three boxes.

Unless Haliburton turns into prime Magic Johnson overnight, Indiana’s in serious trouble.

NBA Parlay -120: Pascal Siakam Over 17.5 Points + Jalen Williams Over 3.5 Assists
