Atlanta Falcons vs Seattle Seahawks odds

This NFL Week 3 game between the Falcons vs Seahawks is set to kickoff this Sunday, September 25th, 2022 at 4:25pm et at the Lumen Field in Seattle.

The latest NFL odds have Seattle listed as a -1 point favorite against the spread and -115 on the moneyline. The over/under is sitting at 42 total points.

The NFL Betting public is loving Atlanta in this spot and currently have 68% of their money behind them as the one point underdog.

These two teams haven’t faced each other in over two years, so with all the numerous roster changes it’s going to be very interesting to watch how this matchup plays out.

Atlanta Falcons Betting Preview

The Atlanta Falcons come into this game extremely hungry to get their first win after starting the season 0-2.

In week 2, Quarterback Marcus Mariota lead Atlanta from being down 28-3 against the Rams, to almost get a huge upset win, but in typical Falcons fashion, their go-ahead touchdown ended up getting intercepted in the end zone. That makes it two heartbreaking loses in a row. In Week 1, they blew that 16-point, fourth-quarter lead and loss to the Saints 27-26.

On the road this season, the Falcons are scoring an average of 27 points per game. Last season on the road they put up an average of 20.7 points per game. Atlanta’s road defense this season is giving up an average of 31 points per game. Last season they had one of the worst road defenses that gave up an average of 27.3 points per game.

The Falcons are 6-2-1 against the spread in their last 9 games on the road, but 1-6 straight up in their last 7 games against an opponent in the NFC West.

Seattle Seahawks Betting Preview

On the other side of the field, the Seattle Seahawks come into this game 1-1 overall after going on the road in Week 2 and losing to the San Francisco 49ers, 27-7.

In Week 2, Geno Smith threw for 24 of 30 completions for 197 yards, but overall they really struggled offensively. Coach Pete Carroll said this week that he’s going to open up the passing attack against this Falcons defense, so look at Tyler Lockett and DK Metcalf to get more touches in this matchup.

My 1-Unit NFL Player Prop today is actually on DK Metcalf to go over the 56.5 receiving yards at the -110 price.

In Sunday’s loss to San Francisco, the Seahawks had some of their key players get banged up. The players that missed practice this week due those injuries include, cornerback Justin Coleman, offensive guard Damien Lewis, safety Quandre Diggs, linebacker Cody Barton and defensive end Shelby Harris.

When playing at home this season, Seattle is putting up an average of 17 points per game while their defense is giving up an average of 16 points per game.

The Seahawks are 5-2 against the spread in their last 7 games at home and the total has gone over in 8 of Seattle’s last 10 games against an opponent in the NFC South.
