New York Jets Betting Preview

The Jets come into this game with a ton of momentum after getting that big home win on Sunday against the Cincinnati Bengals 34-31. Quarterback Mike White had a monster game, throwing 37 out of 45 completions for 405 total yards an 3 touchdowns.

The only downside of his performance was the two interceptions he threw, but overall he was able to but New York on his back to lead this subpar team to a much needed victory. They still sit at the bottom of the AFC East at 2-5 overall and winless on the road at 0-4.

With Quarterback Zach Wilson out with his knee injury and newly acquired Joe Flacco still in limbo, you’ll mostly like see Mike White get the start with Josh Johnson as his backup.

Left tackle, George Fant and Wide Receiver Corey Davis have both been listed as questionable to play in this matchup after they didn’t practice on Tuesday.

On the road this season, the Jets have one of the worst offenses and one of the worst defense in the league. They are scoring an average of only 11.8 points per game while giving up an average of 31.5 points per game.

The Jets are 0-5 against the spread in their last 5 games on the road and 3-14 straight up in their last 17 games against an opponent in the AFC. The total has gone over in 4 of New York’s last 5 games.

Indianapolis Colts Betting Preview

The Indianapolis Colts are in desperate need of a win in this Thursday Night Football game after the heart breaking Week 8 overtime loss to the Tennessee Titans 34-31.

Quarterback Carson Wentz threw for 231 total yards and 3 touchdowns, but that was at a 53% completion rate and two costly interceptions.

The Colts defense did a great job in their last game holding one of the best running backs in the league, Derrick Henry to just 68 yards on 28 carries.

They should be able to contain New York’s running backs, Michael Carter and Ty Johnson, so Mike White will need to put together another huge performance in this matchup if they want any chance of grabbing that road upset.

Coach Frank Reich said in Monday’s presser that wide receiver T.Y. Hilton won’t play in this game due to the concussion he suffered on Sunday. Also, Indianapolis’s left guard Quenton Nelson and Safety Khari Willis are both listed as questionable.

At home this NFL Season, Indianapolis scores an average of 25.5 points per game and in the middle of the pack defensively, giving up an average of 23 points per game.

The Colts are 4-1 saints the spread in their last 5 games and the total has gone under in 4 of Indianapolis’ last 6 games against an opponent in the AFC East.
