Colts vs Vikings NFL Preseason Week 2 Picks and Predictions

The NFL odds have the Vikings as -1.5 point favorites and the total at 37 points against the Colts for this Saturday Preseason Week 2 game.

NFL Game Preview and Odds:

The latest DraftKings NFL Odds have the Minnesota Vikings listed as a -130 money line favorite and a -1.5 point favorite against the spread. The over/under is currently at 37 total points.

The NFL betting public currently has 79% of their money behind Minnesota as the home favorite.

Indianapolis Colts:

The Indianapolis Colts come into this game after taking care of business and getting the win against the Carolina Panthers 21-18 in their preseason week 1 opener.

Starting quarterback Carson Wentz won’t play again for this matchup but you’ll see this big quarterback battle between Sam Ehlinger and Jacob Eason continue. Both quarterbacks played decent last week with Eason throwing 15 out of 21 for 183 yards and Ehlinger going 10 of 15 for 155 yards.

On offense for Indianapolis, Michael Pittman Jr. will take the field after missing last week and hopefully he’ll put on a performance for how ever many plays he’ll be out there for.

On defense the Colts fans should be excited to see their first round pick, defensive end Kwity Paye make his debut.

Indianapolis has a one of the best offensive lines in the league and Minnesota gave up 387 total yards last week to the Broncos, so it’s going to be interesting to see how many yards both Ehlinger and Eason can put up.

The Colts had the eight best offense in the league last season who scored an average of 28 points per game.

Minnesota Vikings:

The Minnesota Vikings looked terrible in their NFL Preseason opener against the Denver Broncos. They got destroyed 33-6 and backup quarterbacks Kellen Mond and Jake Browning combined for 11 of 26 for only 84 total yards. The only one that came to play was running back Asim Rose, who had 25 carries for 100 yards.

Most of the reason they looked that bad last week was due to the Vikings sitting 33 of their 90 players. It should be a different story this go around since most of their starters will play at least for a short amount of time Saturday.

Minnesota had one of the worst defenses in the league last season that gave up almost 30 points per game, so they’ll most likely need to score at least 20 points against Minnesota if they want to get the win.
