Let’s jump right into the first game between the Los Angeles Chargers vs Los Angeles Rams that’s set to kickoff at 9:00pm et at SoFi Stadium in LA. The Chargers are listed as -3.5 point favorites against the spread and the over/under is currently at 39 total points.

Los Angeles Chargers:

The Chargers come into this game with already a starting quarterback at the helm, so in this preseason game all eyes with be on who will earn the title of being his backup. In the 2021 NFL Draft, the Chargers looked to improve protecting their quarterback Justin Herbert and drafted Northwestern left tackle Rashawn Slater.

For the Rams, you should be Matt Stafford get a drive or two in, but Bryce Perkins and Devlin Hodges will get the majority of the snaps. All eyes will be on the backfield on the Rams since Cam Akers injury. Darrell Henderson Jr and Xavier Jones will most likely become his backup.

Last season, the Rams scored an average of 23.3 points per game, but had the second best defense in the league that only gave up 19.3 points per game.
