Magic vs Trail Blazers Game Preview:
These two teams faced each other just three weeks go where the Trail Blazers picked up the 98-88 road win. Damian Lillard sat out that game and you won’t see him for this one.
Also, there are now huge question marks for the Blazers since they went into full rebuild mode getting rid of Norman Powell and Robert Covington for Eric Bledsoe, Justise Winslow, Keon Johnson, and a 2nd-Round Pick.
Plus hot rumors that CJ McCollum and Jusuf Nurkic are also both on the trading block.
So with all those rumors swirling, the Orlando Magic will come into this game hungry to grab a win because they currently have the worst record in the NBA at 12-43 overall and 7-23 on the road this season.
They’ve dropped their last two games in a row including a 20 point home loss on Saturday to the Grizzlies then that was followed by a 33 point home loss on Sunday to the Celtics.
This team has all but given up, but if you’ve been watching them all season this is the type of team when you start doubting them, they pick up a big upset victory.
The Magic on the road this season only score an average of 104.2 points per game, which put them in the bottom five in the entire league.
Their road defense this season has also been subpar giving up an average of 111 points per game.
Orlando is 0-10 straight up in their last 10 games against Portland and the Magic are 4-8 against the spread in their last 12 games.
The Blazers come into this game with all eyes on that Thursday 3pm trade deadline and what bigger moves around the team roster will take place.
Even with all the news around this team, I still think Coach Billups will have them focused and prepared for the Magic.
Portland over their last three games have scored an averaged only 98.3 points while giving up an average of 110.7.
The Trail Blazers are 0-5 against the spread and their last 5 game and the total has gone over in 5 of Portland’s last 7 games against Orlando.
